Dell P2210 menu is locked, how do I unlock it?

Had to try it twice consequtevly.
I.e. first time the screen went all grey, second time after about 5 seconds the "unlock" symbol appeared :)

Yessss it works. but I had to press the top and bottom buttons at the sime time for around 30 seconds, then appears a lock open (unlocked). I had to hold the menu button (just above the power button) for 30 seconds. This only worked when the lock symbol stayed on the screen while I held the button down. This would only work when I had a computer connected to the display. If the computer is showing no VGA cable or similar it didn't work. After plugging in a computer the above solution worked. most monitors made have OSD lock.

the manaul says to reset to factory settings
then fails to tell how, a Dell ERROR seen in there manual.
this monitor has advance eDID controls
on my desktop w10 , i have remote monitor control.
and it has reset command.
from PC to monitor.
dell as assessment management software too
that does that step.reset
