ENGINE CRANKS BUT DOESN'T ALWAYS START 1995 BRONCO 5.8 REPLACED FUEL PUMP RELAY,IGNITION MODULE. AFTER 3 OR 5 ATTEMPTS CAR STARTS AND RUNS FINE

Possible fuel pump. Try turning the ignition key on 3 or 4 times before cranking the engine over. This allows the fule pressure to build up. Hook up a gauge to check the pressure.

186 red motor. Why does it have a missfire under load?

Engine is under max load in the situations you describe, so any weakness in spark or low fuel prssure can cause this, even a weak ignition module.

Wont start without starter fluid

it is the ignition module or a failed coil . It the spark is faster than cranking speed then it is most likely the module.

At times my 2011 seinna willnot crank. the dash video will say that it does not recognise my key. then after a number of tries it will crank. my toyota dealer could find no problem.

Do you have any issues with your other key? There is a small RF transponder in your key that is transmitted to a module in your vehicle. When the module identifies a valid signal it will allow the vehicle to start. What happening is that your vehicle isn't identifying the key because the transponder signal is weak. I would speak to someone at the service department at the dealership where you purchased the vehicle and have them cut and program you a new key to replace your defective one.

Engine was running fine,i parked it ,when i restarted it the engine was skipping ,backfiring, won't idle sounds like timing is way off

Ignition module, faulty or ignition switch contacts bad ,try turning key a bit farther on or clockwise ,not too far, might inergize starter check for weak spark at the plugs.

Starts fine when cold. If I turn off, pull key out, then put key in and crank it just weakly cranks but will not turn the engine over. Let the car sit for a while (an hour or so) and it will start fine. ...

could be the starter armature. when warm requires more amps. could also be weak battery. local auto parts store can load test the battery, usually for free

I have a 1995 Mercedes-Benz S320. I turn the key to start car it starts then dies. Try to start it again but won't start. Battery is fine. What are the possible problems?

It dies after start since not having fuel. There are several factors needed to be checked:
1-Fuel injectors got clogged up or injector module control is having a problem.
2- Not having correct fuel pressure due to fuel filter gets clogged up.
3- Fuel pump is weak not delivering correct rate per spec.

Craftsman mower will start with pull but not with

When it turns over, is it somewhat sluggish (not as fast as before)? I would suspect your battery is weak, and the voltage drops so low that the engine does not spin fast enough to start. Also, without knowing what type mower this is (which model) it could be the voltage drops too low to generate spark (if equipped with an ignition module)

Whereby pull starting it, you aren't loading the voltage down with the starter, and the ignition module still works... So it starts.

Charge the battery per the owners manual. If that doesn't help, you may need a new battery, or you may have a bad connection between the battery and starter solenoid (heavy cables). If a connection has high resistance, it will drop more voltage at a given current.
