Toshiba Satellite A305-S6857 Laptop with Windows Home Premium Vista SP 2. Approx 3 weeks ago my laptop crashed. I was able to save most with no issues. However, ever since, my Touchpad is "possessed". If the pointer icon passes over anything for more than a mili-second it opens it- or closes it until it is moved off. Which means the simply clicking of IE usually opens 8 windows. And if one windo is closed by the "X" then ever window lined up with it closes as well. I have turned off Tapping and scrolling in the settings and that has made no difference. HELP!!!

I would go to this link and select your device and download the driver/software for your device. Try to reinstall the driver/software.

Note:
Fn-F9 is a hot key combination that will enable/disable the touchpad.

Hi! You may access touchpad settings by accessing control panel then go to hardware and devices then click on mouse. It will show a tab that has a drop down option for left and right click functions. Thanks for visiting FixYa.com!
