Toshiba Satellite needs restoration

I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S7437 laptop and it has spy-ware or something that has disabled my LAN, system restore, my anti-virus and any anti-virus/spyware removers that ive downloaded.(it won't let me install them or run ones that ive downloaded on my desktop and transferred over) Ive heard that its possible to restore the laptop to its factory state but wont that also erase the operating system? I don't care about any files, i have what i need on a disk. Is there any way to restore this thing without erasing or having to reinstall WIndows? I might have a restore disk but im not sure.

Thank you for any help!!

There are more options are available that you can restore all the data from your harddrive. i tell you two things.

  1. Before format the hard drive there is one option in the windows xp is restore the data by date.Just go to the start menu and program, then accessories then system tools and then restore . Here you can restore the data by date wise that you bought the laptop.
  2. After format your hard drive there is one software for get the formatted data in the hard drive in all the removeable drives. That is Data Recovery software it can get all the data from your hard drive and all the removeable storage device.

Toshiba a215-s7437 touchpad will not work

Hi,

Use a USB mouse for the meantime and try doing a system restore to a date when it was working fine before How to perform system restore (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGXbMyFaROw)

If system restore did not resolve the issue then try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for your touchpad.

You can go to toshiba website and download their latest touchpad drivers for your a215-s7437.

hope this helps.

I have a toshiba A215-S7437 and i get the error message read disk error when trying to boot up

A disk error is a fatal error on the hard drive, SMART monitoring will show you this in the BIOS, restoring to factory settings will not cure it.
You need to get a new hard disk and reinstall your OS

The sound isn't working on my toshiba a215 7437

Right click on the Sound Icon, click Playback Devices, and then it should say something like do you want to enable the audio devices, click yes and it should work. If not, try it again.

Toshiba Satellite A215-S7437 Laptop Password Problem?

You should first check if the pasword is set on the hard drive. If so you can simply change the hard drive and it will then boot and ask for the operating system disk. If not, you should try by removing the cmos battery and waiting at least 10 minutes. (this works on older laptops) however, the laptop's power suply cable and battery should be removed prior to performing this procedure.
