Whirlpool Washer Model LSB6200PQ Top Load

Hi,
I bought this washer 2 1/2 yrs. ago Jan. 06. The outside front top part of the front of the washer I noticed has rusted water leaking from where the front crack is (where the top connects to the bottom part of washer). This washer has never been outside, it has always been in my home.

Can you tell me if this should be under warranty? I paid almost $400 for this washer and it is now starting to rust. What advice can you give me?

I'm sorry but no, all major appliances now have a one year warranty unless you purchase an extended warranty.
To assist you I need the Make and model number. I also nee to know if you have experienced any water drainage problems in your home. This will help make a determination on what to look for.

WHIRLPOOL FRONT LOADING WASHER MODEL #GHW9460PL0

I have a Sears front load made by Whirlpool. It had a problem locking door. I replaced latch/switch assembly and still would not work. Took top of washer off 3 or 4 screws on back of machine lift up lid and slide back. Make sure washer is unplugged. Presto you can see wiring and control. Unplugged connectors on control and plugged them back in then tried washer and it works.

F/06 Drive Motor Tachometer Error
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.

Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)

Leaking washer drain pump

Yes, the drain pump is a common leak area.
2 clips, 2 hoses and it pulls off.
If it has leaked for a long time you will have to get aggressive to get it off.

the timer box or the whole washing cabinet cover?
the timer box is removed via 2 screws in the rear of the plastic end caps and carefully wiggling it foward very gently then it should tip back...
if you want the cabinet removed under the timer box is 2 metal snaps that can be removed to take off the outter cabinet.. good luck

have you tried just leaning the washer back ?? if that is not a calypso the bottom is card board and just pulls down pump is on front end of motor 2 clips 2 hose clamps ..if calypso remove screws in bottom pump back right corner as far back as i can remember all full size top load kenmore washer pumps were accesible from bottom that's 35 yrs by the way

Are you sure you have the right Model number the above model is a driect drive one.... no belt.but there is a drive coupling ?? check model under lid and let me know

Washer stopped in the middle of a cycle

i wouldn't be so quick to replace the timer as those rarely go bad. Start simple and check the lid switch. On whirlpoos they sometimes shift position and dont always close when the lid is closed
