Check the power diodeThis
electronic component is responsible for transmitting current in one
direction. If the diode becomes defective it will cause your microwave
to not heat. Test the diode and replace it if necessary.
High voltage capacitorResponsible
for storing electricity, this part is a key component in any microwave.
Remove, discharge, and test the capacitor to determine if it requires
replacement.
Damaged magnetronResponsible
for generating waves and producing heat. When your microwave is no
longer heating properly, replacement will be required.
Thermal CutoffsExamine
the thermal cutoffs on both the magnetron and the oven itself. Take off
one of the leads and using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check the terminals.
If you get a result other than zero, replace the thermal cutoffs.
sounds like the magnetron has went out...this is the device that actualy converts the electricity into a heating source ... it is a common problem and can be costly,,it is not very hard to change just requires pulling the microwave if it is a cabinet mount and taking the exterior cover off and getting to the magnetron...the problem is the cost of the magnetron is normally somewhere in the range of a $100.00 and your time alot of people choose to get another one due to not being that much more expense and the work involved to repair yours.... good luck hope this helps...

Normally when u cook food in microwave the fod is cooked by microwaves, which means the heat is generated with in food. The temperature inside is never too hot and all the heat produced is absorbed with in the food.
On the other hand when the grill is switched on, a separate heatting element gets switched on. You can see this red hot element on the top side of inside of microwave. the heat from this element gets transferred to food through air circulation. But partof heat also gets transferred to the walls of microwave oven. This is the reason the wall feel hot during use of grill.
As i see ther is no problem with the microwave itself. Jut kep delicate thngs a bit away from the microwave.
hello mam
i am having the solution for this problem check the lock terminals for loose connection and if its working and check the magnetron which produses the heat inside the microwave.
Are you talking about the magnetron which heats the unit? Do you have no heat in the unit. If so, your best option is to just get a new unit as the cost of the magnetron is not worth replacing.
I replied to your other post as well:
It could be any multitude of issues from a faulty magnetron,a bad high voltage diode, a door switch issue or a faulty circuit board.
A magnetron for your model is ~ the $60 area.
A Circuit board is ~ the $100.00 mark.
If your a wiz at electronics I would say give it a go and try to repair it yourself. Otherwise I would say that a new microwave oven would be your best bet. A technician may charge you up to $250 for the work they will do, bringing you to around the same cost of a new microwave with a warranty.
Hope this helps.
