Arif qc, Are you using a DMM that is or will make "true RMS" measurements or is it an "average responding" type of voltmeter? Is this APC ups designed for 120 vac input/output or is this unit a 220 vac input/output type? Use only a "TRUE RMS" type DMM to make your measurements!!! I believe if you visit Tripp-Lite site, you will find a tutorial video clip of why you should use a true-rms meter to make measurements of output voltages. 12fixlouie

The output voltage is 101 volt between la y n, I expeccted 120 volt

There`s two configurations that you need to check.
On UPS display, what voltaje is showing as output voltage?
There`s a chance that it is configured to 200 vac, then the transformer module will convert this to 100/200 vac.
If this is not the situation, probably the error is in the input connection of transformer module.

How long I need to keep plug the back up battery to use to charge my phone?

Most manufacturers recommend an overnite charge, but the power you require to recharge a phone is very minimal, so I would recomend at least 4 hours, unless the battery back up is new then you can charge your phone while charging the battery back up for the full 12 hrs.

How to cennect the input line, L1 and L2

If you open the back of the UPS and unscrew the 3 large screws you should see where the input and the output hook up. I have a user manual if you need one. Just email me at [email protected] and ask for the manual. If you have one then can you be a little bit clearer on what is needed.

Having UPS Model No. BR 1500 in time of opening UPS shows over lode without giving any lode. Battery is new . can you tell me the solution.

Try to reduce your load. in a overload condition the UPS can not tell you what the load is if it has more then the 1500VA your UPS can not put out more then 1000 watts. Battery has nothing to do with the load.

How do you check the battery status?

Check battery voltage using Volt meter=> it should be about 12.6 to 13.8 vdc.
Pull the battery out... checking the deforming at the case ..such as "swelling"... if yes .. replace the battery.
Replacement battery is about 10-20 dollars on e-bay (watch for shipping charge and size. and terminal connection sizes )
The average life of battery on UPS is about 5-7-10 years wi)th UPS plugged in (Charging
One I had my local Autozone checked my 12 VDC -8 AH ... ask them to set CCA at about 100 AMP...
for 12 VDC -14 AH ask them to set CCA about 200 AMP.
For a 12 VDC -75 AH (group 24) they set the load on their tester at about 700-900 CCA.
You can also buy a manual battery load test at Harror freigt tool for about $20 US dollars (On sale)

I just replaced the battery with a brand new one. After a few seconds of being plugged in, the unit beeps continuously. What is the problem?

Hi,
Definitely you have replaced a new battery, but my dear friend every battery need to be charged by electricity before using it. Connect the UPS for at least 10-12 hours with power & do not switch your UPS ON while charging.
Good luck...don't forget to rate the solution
