My CD5405 has gone into a security lockout since battery maintenance. How do I clear lockout.

Hi,
Canceling or unlocking the security feature is done by a KEY CD. When you got the player you might have registered a KEY CD with your player. Please insert that key CD and OK will appear in display and CD will start playing .This will unlock the player.

If you don’t have this CD please contact you eclipse dealer and they will rest the full system and will unlock it.

The system only activates like this if there is a defect in the systems operation, you must have the security system scanned to see what is causing the unwanted activation. This is a dealer level repair.

Without knowing the vehicle, can't say for certain. But most cars, for "proper" cleaning of ECM/ECU codes, requires the use of a scantool that plugs into the diagnostic socket. Some cars can be cleared with other methods, including battery disconnects, but these can pose other issues with respect to radio lockouts and immobilizer security systems.

All instrutments gages go dead until you disconnect battery then it gos back to normal
Without any further information, this problem hints of a security lockout. It also suggests a loose or corroded wire connector, possibly at the PCM, or the security module, if the security module is separate from the PCM.

clear code. dissconnect from battery power for 10 minutes. reconnect. Check to make sure you regounded the wiring harness if you removed any grounds during the tranny removal. If the code or problem persist go see dealer.

Sounds like you may have a security lockout. Try the relearn procedure.

PASSLOCK 10 MINUTE RELEARN


AUTO LEARN
Time required, approximately 10 minutes:

1. Insure that the battery is fully charged.
2. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the CRANK position attempting to start the vehicle. The vehicle will start and then stall.
4. Leave the ignition switch in the ON position while observing the security indicator.
5. When the security indicator turns off, which can take up to 10 minutes, turn the ignition switch off. Wait 10 seconds.
6. The BCM and the PCM will learn the new code on the next start attempt.

MOTORCYCLE BATTERY DRAIN
Although rebranded, the OEM battery for most Japanese motorcycles is Yuasa. There are some maintenance free batteries for MCs now available. Maintenance free batteries do not have the clear plastic PVC hose lines. Batteries last about 4 years... when in doubt, replace it. Check your battery either under the seat or accessible from the plastic side fairing to see if it has a hose nipple on the battery. If it doesn't then the battery is a maintenance free type. If it has a hose nipple, buy a new clear plastic PVC hose from a service station (usually used for car windshield washers) or (better) pet shop (used for aquariums) and run a length down the frame until its clear of metal so the battery water can drip onto the pavement. Cable ties work great at securing it as you don't want the liquid dripping on anything except the ground.

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check all the window switches, window lockout relays, window lockout switches, window motors, window regulators and window tracks and replace whichever is gone bad. Also check that the wire connections of all the switches are fine. There are prongs and there should never be battery voltage at all prongs or the switch is bad.

Setting the clock on Eclipse cd5405 deck
Push the function button once. turn the right knob (SEL) untill CLOCK ADJ shows on the screen. push SEL in one time to lock in CLOCK ADJ and the hours will blink. Turn the SEL knob to set the hours. push SEL again to get to the min. Turn SEL again to set min.
