You cannot set your PC video resolution to 1920x1080 @60Hz?

Per user manual:
1. Set computer to a resolution supported by your HDTV (see Preset PC Resolutions). If your
computer supports it, we recommend 1920x1080 @60Hz.
2. Turn off the power to your HDTV and Computer.
3. Connect the VGA cable from your computer to the RGB PC jack on your HDTV.
4. Connect the 1/8-inch audio cable from your computer to the RGB PC Audio jack on your HDTV.
This step is optional and only needed to transmit audio from the computer through the TV.
5. Turn on the power to your HDTV and computer.
6. Select RGB using the INPUT button on the remote control or side of your HDTV.
Note: Refer to your PC computer user manual for more information about the video output requirements.

Toshiba portege 2000 windows xp invalid system disk.

When booting, try going to the Boot Menu by pressing F12 when you see the Toshiba logo so you can select your hard drive as your boot device. After doing so, if you still get an "Invalid System Disc" error, then your hard drive may be shot.

blue screen in XP is usually due to hardware issues. Did you add or change hardware? By now, probably your only solution is to repair windows XP by putting in the XP setup disk and get to repair. If you do the install, it will format your hard drive and you will lose your programs and files.

Dell optiplex 780 i wanted to change from windows 7 to xp blue screen appears how to fix

You are going to need to start your computer in safe mode and find the XP drivers that will work for your motherboard manually from the web (Assuming that there are any created for XP for that board). That blue screen you keep getting is because you don't have the correct driver loaded for something on the motherboard that it needs to boot correctly and your XP install couldn't find it on the web to install automatically.

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking".

Now start looking for your drivers here:

The procedure is actually correct. but if your computer is fast you may miss it. try this, upon turning the computer on, start pressing the CTRL+F11 immediately. if you have reformated your HDD then most likely you've lost the recovery partition for the PC Restoration.

Hi ethandown,

From my experience, you most likely have a corrupted hard drive which has affected your Windows Installation. Your only option may be to boot from a Windows XP cd.

-When your computer starts, press F2, sometimes delete to enter the system options and change the boot-up priority device to cd/dvd 9(1st).

- Restart the computer putting your windows xp setup cd inside. It will ask you to press a button to run from the cd.

- follow instructions and when on the blue screen, use the repair windows installation.

-if that doesnt work, you may have to reinstall windows however your old files will still be on the hard drive.

Hope this helps,

Sir my windows xp sp2 is not booting and shows stop 0x0000000e meassage with blue screen

You will need to boot it with the XP CD and perform a repair install if you have important data you need to recover. If boot with CD format it abd do a full reinstall. If you have any problems while doing this i would check the memory in the computer maybe by just checking 1 stick of ram at a time. Cheers from Scott and plz vote

How to reformat windows xp a dell loptop?

you first need a windows xp setup dvd. Then you must insert the dvd And boot the dvd by restarting your notebook. As the dvd gets booting it will show (press any key to continue)
press the key and here the setup screen runs. A blue screen runs and loads for sometime. After loading it gives three choices there. Choose the first one.
(press enter there)
Then (press F8) if a read document comes in the screen
Then it might search for any previous copy of winxp installed in your system. If you want to (repair your win press r) otherwise (press esc key)
now it will show all the patition of hard disc... your drives. Now just go to the c partition and format it by (pressing enter and press L) and then format by quick ntfs. And thats it setup starts to install a fresh copy of a os xp in your notebook.

Stop:0x0000007B tried to boot in all modes..we go to blue screen with stop: cannot get a command prompt either

Issue : Blue screen with Error0x0000007B
Solution
I recognize the importance of resolving this issue and I look forward in providing you with the necessary assistance you need.

The above error comes if the boot volume is corrupted and cannot be initiated by Windows XP. or You are installing Windows XP on a mirrored boot partition that was created by Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.

To completely resolve your issue i think you have to reinstall the OS.
Have to format the Hard drive

requirement
the OS - XP Home / Premium Installation CD

Disk formatting is the initial part of the process for preparing a hard disk or other storage medium for its first use. The disk formatting includes setting up an empty file system. A disk formatting may setup multiple file systems by formatting partitions for each file system.

HOW CAN I FIX MY COMPUTER? ITS READING UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME?

You need your Windows XP cd for this fix.

Boot from the Windows XP CD and at the first prompt, press "r" for repair. Press 1 when asked to choose windows installation and then enter the admnistrator password. If you don;t have one, just press "enter" and it should show you "c:\windows>"

At this prompt, type the following

chkdsk /r

THis should take quite sometime but will fix the problem at the end. when you get the c:\windows prompt again, type the word "exit" and your system will reboot and load windows XP normally
