It sounds like the pump is bad. If so, the whole cleaning ubit will need replaced. You will find a replacement at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Braun 8995 - YELLOW LIGHT STAYS ON!

I experienced the same symptoms on my 8995; solid yellow light (even though the cartridge was full), cleaning failed (red light on) after pressing either start button. After many failed attempts to clean the razor, unplugging the station and pushing start button, I decided to clean the razor under running water. I rinsed the razor under water and then turned it on allowing it to run in a pool of water (like it would in the station). After water cleaning, I returned the razor to the station, pressed the start button and it worked! Was able to do both the quick clean and auto clean.

My base does not pump cleaning solution thru the device. I will run the entire process, & there will be clippings in the bottom of the slot where the razor sits. The solution container is full, but...

The pump in the cleaning maching is broken. Pumps are not available seperately. Your only option is to purchase a new cleaning /charging machine. You will find this item for model 7570 available at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Just bought braun 8585 electric shaver, return it to the store as nothing happens while charging. Got a new one and still not able to charge it, shouldn't the indicator turn red or green? nothing happens....

Did you insert a cartridge into the cleaning base? It needs that in order to work. Otherwise, try plugging the charger directly into the shaver. It should definitely charge the shaver, as long as the shaver is fine. Depending on the model, the charging indicator may be green or blue.

Cleaning base thinks it's empty

I had the same problem. Try taking out the cartridge and in the compartment where the razor sits in to get clean, there is a drain hole on the left side. Try cleaning the hole out with a toothpick or something similar. It seems that the drain hole clogs and causes this problem. I just did it and all seems to be working fine.

New cleaning solution cartridge leaked

If you both have the same problem from the same merchandise, than maybe you should just switch razors and Rely on a different company.

Shaver will not charge or clean in the base

All you have to do is take the base apart. Turn it upside down, and there are two plastic clips on the rear portion of the base. Press them in with a key or screwdriver and wiggle the base a bit to remove the inner portion from the outer shell. Make sure you unplug the unit and remove the cleaning cartridge before doing this. Once it is apart, place a small wedge underneath the portion of the electric contact that sticks out to touch the shaver, and press the back of that portion out so that it slightly bends the contact strip and makes it stick out a little further. Then remove the wedge and put the base back together. It will work again, as the contacts can now protrude to touch the shaver and run the cleaning and charging cycle.

Cleaning base

I have been shaving with electric razors for 48 years, and the Braun 8595 is by far the best one yet.
I have had the problem of the refusal of the cleaning station to recognize the level of fluid in the cartridge, three times over the last couple of years. It seems to relate to a build up of shavings in the unit. To get it working again I inverted the unit, and carefully flushed water via a small tube, back through the 1cm diameter hole in the underside of the open base. Of course, the unit must then be thoroughly dried before use, or the sparks may fly. Does anyone know how to dismantle the unit for a safer and more thorough clean?
