How to link 3 same model cordless phones to one base

Found out how to change the handset number [1] [2] [3] [4] etc on a Panasonic Cordless handset

Panasonic KXTG6644B

Changing Handset Number:
Deregister two Handsets [#1 & #2] 0r [#3 & #4] etc

On each handset hit -
[MENU] # 1 3 1
[ERASE] [YES]

(This leaves and open space on the base unit)

Re-Register 1st Handset [#1]
[MENU] # 1 3 0
Hold [LOCATION] on Base Unit 5 Seconds
Place the Handset you want #1 in Base Unit

Re-Register 2nd Handset [#2]
[MENU] # 1 3 0
Hold [LOCATION] on Base Unit 5 Seconds
Place the Handset you want #2 in Base Unit

You can buy a kit on ebay to repair the keypad contacts. Very easy to install, they even have a video showing you how to do it.

This worked for my mother's KX-TG2357:

We tried doing what it said in the manual on page 54. That didn't work! She then decided to just unplug everything. About 3-5 minutes later, plugged everything back in, and lo and behold, everything was working fine!!

Panasonic KX-TG1050N Cordless Phone. Base handset (No. 1, KX-TGA100N) does not work, no keypad response or dial tone. A few days ago I bought Panasonic KX TG1100 - but the base unit does not ring - only the handset!
Can I do anything about it?

No. Handsets must be inactive.

Main base is toast.

Astoundingly, the KXTG2357 works only with the original handsets it came with! You cannot replace a handset by buying another one (same model, of course) and register it with the base. How ridiculous is that? It's like buying a lamp that works only with the bulb that came with it. Replacement bulbs won't work. Well, Panasonic is one company I won't be dealing with anymore!

So, the solution is to get along with one less handset, or buy a new phone unit!

unplug both wires at back of base and replug after about 5 minutes - it should work now
