On the school-provided TI-84 Plus Silver Edition calculators, when one enters a math problem or equation which would take more than one line, the characters wrap to the next line. However, I have just purchased my own and it will not wrap to the next line, it simply continues off the screen with an arrow pointing in the direction of the beginning of the line. Is there any way I can fix this to make the calculator word wrap the characters to the next line rather than continuing along the screen?

You need to change the mode from Math Print to Classic Mode to get the multiple line display. Press Mode to open the correct menu. Use the up/down arrows to make sure that an item in the first line is highlighted (MathPrint or Classic). Use the left/right arrows to select Classic. Press Enter. If you see a line labeled Save, use the down arrow to highlight the line and press Enter again.

This is briefly shown in the manual. See page 9 (page 16 of the PDF) for the menu that applies. The section is labeled Setting the Clock. The rest of the details on changing modes is on page 15 (page 22 of the PDF). Texas Instruments has the manual for the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition in their support section. Start here: https://education.ti.com/en/guidebook/search?active=guidebooks . The direct link to the manual is https://education.ti.com/download/en/ed-tech/C4D11EB6D86B47D19CD768E54A967441/6CC4C5AED5004F808892046AD33D4A35/TI84Plus_guidebook_EN.pdf .

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: My daughter's math teacher cleared

First, turn it on. Once the calculator is on, press the "2ND" key (I believe it is a blue key in the ti-84 plus silver edition). Now press the plus key (+). A little above that key, you should see the word "mem." When you see the screen titled MEMORY, move the cursor all the way down to the option that says "Reset." From here, you can choose to reset either the RAM memory, or the factory settings. The factory settings are the "Defaults" option. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: how to simplify the equations in ti 84 ??

You cannot do it with this calculator. It does not have a Computer Algebra System (CAS). Try a TI89 Titanium, a TI 92PLUS, a TI 200PLT or a TI-Nspire CAS.
However, they may exist other programs on education.ti.com or ticalc.org. Search these sites and you may be lucky.

Press the Apps button and liik for the Inequalz application, and press [ENTER] to run it. If you do not find it, you must download it from education.ti.com >Downloads>Software and Apps >TI83/TI84 Plus Family.
Use the TI Connect software to transfer it to your calculator.
When you run Inequalz you should be aware that it will taker over the graphing capabilities from the native OS, and that you will have to unload it from memory if you want to recover the native graphing capabilities.

Cant find ! button

There is no such thing as a TI89 Plus Silver Edition.

If you mean the TI-89 or TI-89 Titanium, press diamond / (the diamond key below the 2ND key, then the divide key).

If you mean the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition or the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, press MATH left-arrow 4 .

If you don't have version 2.53MP of the operating system on the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, you can download it from
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_os_84plus.html

You can check the version of the operating system by pressing 2ND [MEM] 1. The OS version number is on the second line.

Once you're running OS 2.53MP, press MODE to enter the mode editor. Press down-arrow repeatedly to get to the second page. On the top line, highlight MATHPRINT. Press ENTER to select it, then press 2ND [QUIT] to exit the mode editor.

Hello where is the fraction button on the ti-84 plus silver edition

There isn't one. If you want to convert a value from decimal to fraction, use the >Frac function (press MATH 1). If you want to enter a fraction, simply enter the numerator, divide, then the denominator.

For example, to calculate 1/4 + 1/3, press
( 1 / 4 ) + ( 1 / 3 ) MATH 1 ENTER
and you'll see 7/12.

I own a ti-84 plus silver edition, and when i enter two equations y=2x+3 and y=(-.5x)+3 They should be perpendicular lines.

Hello,
And they are perpendicular. But due to the finite resolution of the screen they do not appear to be. However if you had a geometry application linked with the function graphing the measurement of the angle between the lines will show that it is 90 degrees, or 1.58 rad.
This screen capture from the TI'Nspire will convince you, I hope.

Hope it helps.
