I suggest buying a hex wing screwdriver and taking your v3 apart and cleaning it. I had to do this with mine after i fell in a lake (don't ask!). Use a cotton bud and go over all of the contacts (don't use any cleaning fluid just rub it over). This worked for me and removes all of the residue but if you don't want to risk taking your phone apart then send it to Motorola for repairs or buy a new phone!

Hope this helps

I accidentally dropped my lg optimus phone on the floor, and fell into soy sauce.

Oops. the next time something like this happens to any electronic device, immediately remove the battery and sim card if you can, and let the device dry in a warm dry place for several hours before you replace the battery and sim. Then retry. You will probably have to have it professionally repaired.

You should have turned it off immediately then removed the battery and put it in a dry warm place to dry out completely.
It looks like the cell phone is damaged and it may not be repairable. You could try a cell phone repairer, I suggest you get a quote as it may not be worth repairing.

I dropped my phone in the toilet. I took out the battery and let it dry. When i turned it back on the screen just says downloading error v5.50. I dont know what this means or how to fix my phone

Hello my friend,if the phone`s board is oxidized now there is nothing you can do anymore. You should immediately open your mobile unplug everything and try to dry everything with a hairdressers gun and leave the battery and the Sim card out for some hours when you dropped it into the water. Also make sure that Sim card and battery is completely dry before install it again. The only thing you can try is to go to your manufacture support site and download the latest firmware and reinstall it.

Maybe rzr v3m; black screen after dropping phonein water

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

LG PHONE STUCK ON EMERGENCY DOWNLOAD

I had the same problem!! This might help: 1. Take out the battery, SIM card, and memory card (if applicable). 2. Let the phone sit in the sun for a couple of days. 3. Put the SIM card back in the phone and plug the phone charger into the phone. 4. When prompted, insert the battery into the phone 5. When battery is fully charged, remove the charger and depress the call button simultaneously.

I tired this and the phone is now working!!! Also, I do not seem to have lost any of the features!

Good Luck!!!
