Hi my name is Travis and I bought a new DEH-P80MP a feeverything w years back and everything worked great untill today when I tried to remove the CD the face moves down a little but then stops moving and the face goes dark like there is no power and then after a few seconds moves back up and then the face powers back on and again has not ejected the cd. Also if i hit the dash hard above the radio the face may go all the way down but still has no power and the cd will not come out. I have removed the face plate and cleaned the contacts with emery cloth followed by denatured alcohal and this has not fixed the concern. The radio is in good shape and was alot of money so any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks for any help.

there is a switch on the underneath of the stereo, make sure it's off and then just flick the switch over and then re-switch back on and and must do a re-set which is located on the front panel right hand sidecorner....
parts.com but you can fix it with jbweld. just remove the plastic with metal piece that is stuck to the volume button ON the faceplate and place it back in the center of the volume button knob. mix both pastes together and apply it aroun the plastic center of the knob. Ps don't add inside the hole where it attaches to the face plate. just follow the directions behind the jbweld pack.
You should start by taking the radio out of you dash. Check to make sure that the Red wire, Yellow wire and Black wire are all connected properly and that wire is not exposed. It could be grounding out. Or, sometimes there are multiple fuses for you radio. In my car there are 4 in the fuse panel.
there is an interconnector to connect this unit to the aux source (CD-RB20/CD-RB10)(sold seperately).
After connecting, press SOURCE until AUX appears in the display.
Press "play" on your ipod.
i sincerely hope this answers your question.
remember ,your new car is ITALIAN ,while PIONEER is a JAPANESE brand . ITALY is WEST while JAPAN is east and these two directions do not meet easily .
THERE IS AN INTERCONNECTOR ADAPTOR SOLD SEPERATELY WHICH WILL MAKE THESE TWO COMPATIBLE.
Fixing these two together will make your job easier and comfortable .
