Question about BenQ Joybook 5000 Notebook
If the drive is not recognized in the BIOS, either the issue is with the drive or your system board. try to remove and reconnect the drive from the notebook. if this does not work, you can also try a BIOS update, or test if your drive will be detected on another notebook. if the drive works fine on another system and another drive also fails on your system, it would be an issue on the system board. If the drive, however, fails on another system, you'll need to get a drive replacement.
