if its in warranty you can get it replaced as it counts in the parts replacement warranty.but if the warranty period is over it is compulsary to pay and get it repaired.
also check for the small antenna connection in the device which catches the frequency if that is faulty the same problem can occur.and that replacement will be more cheaper and that could also be repaired.so consult some other mechanic for that problem also.
