If it is under warranty, call Whirlpool at 1-866-698-2538. If it is out of warranty, try running the washer with no clothes in it in spin cycle. If it runs fine empty, it may be that when you had clothes in it they were not balanced evenly in the tub. If it runs off balance when empty, then a spring may have broken or come off. Contact an appliance repairman.

You didn't mention if the machine was giving any error codes. Do the following steps to get any stored error codes and post them back to me.
Select the following on the operator console - DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then press any button under OPTIONS 4 times (it must be the same button). "C00" will show on the console display as the washer begins diagnostics mode.

Open the cabinet and look at the suspension springs holding the tub. Here is a video to show you how to open the cabinet.

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.This will solve your problem.

If it makes this noise in the agitate mode and not during the spin cycle, I would suspect that the transmission is going.

Unplug it and plug it back in after a min. Try to put it threw a rinse spin cycle. Delicate option has a shorter rinse spin time.

See if it suds up, when you hear it trying to drain lift up the drain hose to the wall. It is the gray tube that has the elbow bend, might (should) be hooked to wall. If it isn't moving a good amount of water the machine isn't draining.

most common noise complaint is debris inside pump assy, be removing the lower acess panel you'll find access to the pump through what hey call their button trap, unscrew the port and remove foreign debris,there is always water in that pump so either tip machine back or i put a plastic bag infront of pump prior to opening
