Being that your other computers in the network are working properly, you should switch the ip settings on your comnputer to automatically detect. That way your computer does all the routing and ip setting,
After you have set that back. Remove the power of your router, remove the power of your modem, and restart your computer.
Once your computer is back up, turn on modem, then the router.
It sounds very simple, but in most cases, it solves the problem.
Your MT 882 modem most likely has a DHCP Server that will interfere with the ip address of the router. Did you plug the Router directly into the laptop then go to dos prompt and type in ipconfig/renew . Or reboot the laptop !
Then type in 192.168.2.1 into browser
You need to work out the IP address of your 882 modem and then change the dhcp server leases on it to start at 20 like it might be 10.0.0.1 to 1.0.0.254 or it could be 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 .
if you are planning on using both devices on the network !
Make the Modem DHCP start at 192.168.2.20 to 192.168.2.254 and then make the Belkin router / modem ip address be 192.168.2.2 and the 882 modem 192.168.2.1 if you plan on using the two devices together on the network disable the belkin dchp server.
if you are using just the belkin then the reboot or ipconfig/ renew will be all you need .
Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer'sLAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin'sconfiguration URL.
http://192.168.2.1 The default PW = blank (just press Enter)
You can now change the default password. You can now configure the wireless settings.
Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings.

check,if you are able to connect other laptop,to the same wireless router
if yes
issue must be with the laptop itself
check,if the wireless switch is enabled
if enabled, uninstall and re-install the wireless driver from the device manager
if issue is with the router,try reseting the router
If you have wireless internet already, then go to Belkin's website. Most electronic devices nowadays have manuals in PDF format on their websites. Different router manufacturers usually has a different setup protocol for their devices.
When there is limited connectivity check if the laptop gets an IP address from the router. ELse try configuring it manually. Restart the laptop if necessary.
