Please, use the CD that you got with your camera: insert the CD, connect the camera to your computer and start installation; after the installation done, disconnect the camera and restart your computer.
Connect the camera again-it should work now.

Another option is going to this link, http://support.creative.com/Products/Products.aspx?catid=218 make sure you know the correct model of your webcam then click on the correct model On the list below will be the drivers and applications intended for your webcam. Choose the correct one like matching it with your Operating System, check the details by clicking "Show Details." When you say the Installation CD is damaged or plain out does not work at all? Regarless of any what the problem is I found a website so you can download the drivers through the internet and its fast and easy all you have to do is go to the website below and in less than three clicks maybe four you'll have your webcam up and running. http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/creative-webcam-nx.html

It happens to me all the time and being really forgetful all the time does not help either. Good thing i have a gift that redeems my forgetfulness and that is i rely a lot on searching for drivers for any piece of hardware that i need to add to my computer through the internet. Its really fun actually, well... as long as you find what you are looking for that is otherwise you will have a really bad day looking for something.
