Fan has to be working or replaced.

This is a sure sign of pending compressor failure (high heat and head pressure, Since that 2 inch section comes directly from the compressor. For verification,
Remove the back cover, and place your hand on the compressor.(careful, may be hot) should be able to leave your hand on compressor without burning.
Check condensor fan in that same area , It may be not running
causing all the trouble
You can get a compressor hard start kit to help the compressor
stay cooler.Ask the parts man He will explain all you need. Directions are on the pkg. if youn order them from here.

Freezer isnt getting cold?

Unplug the fridge and then check the condenser coils for dust and dirt and debris buildup. Clean the condenser coils if they appear dirty. Continue to keep cleaning the coils when you do routine refrigerator repairs and Check to see if the condenser fan is working properly when you see the freezer is not getting cold enough. The condenser fan might need to be replaced for the freezer.

It starts flashing VACUME CONDENSER after 24 hrs on my sub zero 690 side by side fridge .I cleaned the condenser but some one suggested I can wash with hot water spray bottle (I did not tried). If there is...

"Vacuum Condenser" light on this refrigerator will appear if you have any kind of issues - some of their models would have "Service" light instead of Vacuum Condenser. As My expirience shows Most likely Your Fresh food section is low on refrigerant - Evaporator might leak freon - so what we would have in this case - compressor runs for longer time then suppose to - as a result "Vacuum Condenser" or (some models) "Service" appears. Another sigh of low freon pressure people would notice ice build up on the back wall of the refrigerator section on the left side on the middle. I post video on my YouTube chanel, so u can check how to fix it properly.

Hotpoint mistral plus

Sounds like a faulty thermostat, although fast freeze usually bypasses the stat so should then get to temperature. If the compressor and condenser are getting very hot and all is clean, check there isn't a condenser fan stuck underneath that is seized. If not, may have had a bit of a refrigerant leak and sucked a bit of air into the system. Call an engineer

The refrigerator and freezer are not cooling the freezer reads 12 and the refrigerator is 42

I am a celcius man myself. So I assume you are talking about degrees fahrenheit?
Basically you are not getting the correct temperatures in the refrigerator or freezer. this could be due to
# Condenser fan not working (condenser is the outside of the fridge that gets hot)
# condenser blocked or dirty
# Poor air flow over the condenser
$ evaporator fan not working (this circulates cold air inside the fridge)
$ The ducting for the cold air is blocked
$ the themostat is faulty
& Compressor has burnt valves and cannot pump properly
* the fridge is loosing refrigerant

Our freezer and reridgerator temps are climbing and the front of the middle divider between the freezer and fridg is burning hot. What's the problem?

There is a condenser fan down at the compressor area that isn't running at enough rpms to properly cool compressor. You will need to clean the condenser coils and also install new condenser fan. The compressor is over heating and shutting down on internal overload. Replace this fan and you will be good to go. As an emergency aid you can pull unit from wall about 6 to 12 inches and place a fan in the front area out of your way letting it blow air thru the front over the compressor until you can get the fan. Hope this helps and good luck.

The center strip that divides the fridge and the freezer is hot to the touch -- so hot it will burn my hand. How can I fix, and is there any fire danger?

Sir,
Sounds like there is a problem in the sealed system. Remove the rear lower cover and tell me if the condenser fan is turning. While there, is the Compressor hot to the touch?
Pull the unit away from the wall and then remove the rear bottom cover. Is the condenser fan running? If it's real dirty there, unplug the unit and clean real well. In the freezer section...look on the rear wall and tell me if you see any frost building up.
Thanks Good Luck

Overheating, seals on Roper side by side are hot to the touch

Hi, When that strip gets hot, it is a sign the temperatures are not cold enough. Put a thermomitor in the freezer. You should get a reading of 0 to 5 above. If not, let me know and we can try and get you through this.

Thanks
