It sounds like you have muted your F20.
If this is the case you need to turn on the Sat Nav (outside so it picks up the Sats). Once the sats have loaded and machine is working. Press the arrow button bottom right, which takes you to map pages, press the screen on an empty area on the map page. This will bring up another on screen menu which gives you another 6 options (these include pausing routes, brightness etc..) one of the options is 'mute' (top right on screen button) press the button once and you should be un-muted.(It is one press to mute and press again to un-mute). Once un-muted, use the side + & - keys to raise and lower volume.
Hope this helps, if you are already un-muted and still have no volume, you may have a faulty unit. You could try a master reset by inserting a pin into the reset hole on the bottom of the unit.
You need to remove the 2 screews from the bottom and then gentley prize the unit apart from teh bottom using a blunt broad knife will help if you cant have the plastic case splitting tools which are used in the trade,
then once apart the same side where the power button is you will see a microsd card its the same as in a mobile phone just pull it down from the top (its hinged at the bottom) then make sure the card is in correctley and then close it back and test (b4 putting the case back on) that will fix it we ahve a lot of these coming in and its where its been dropped etc and jumps out thats it
GO TO PREFERENCES ,LOCALIZE , LANGUAGE, UK OR US ENGLISH . EXIT BACK TO LANGUAGE , TAP VOICE , MALE / FEMALE TAP TICK . ALSO INCREASE VOLUME ON SIDE OF NAVMAN + OR -
The problem is that most of the chargers have the output of 5V/0.5A. The charger for NAVMAN (C30 in my case) has 5V/1A. And that is causing the trouble. The GPS is undercharged and is switching off itself. Buy one which specify the output power: 5V/1A.
Hope I solved your problem
