Just bought new washer, Maytag EPIC, Won't fill with water and F-30 flashes

  • Anonymous Jun 20, 2008

Our machine is giving us the same error message. The machine was delivered yesterday, and we've run a couple of loads, but now it refuses to work.

Full Reset
Disconnect the power to the Maytag dryer and wait 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, restore power and make a new selection. If the problem persists or the dryer will not operate, disconnect power once again and call Maytag for service.

When washer starts to wash it beeps and flashes the letters FH.

Hi

Error FH means that a water inlet problem has occurred. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If the machine is not filling then check whether both valves at water source are turned ON and inlet hose are not plugged. If the machine is filling fine then chec the pressure switch hose and the drain hose for siphoning (also make sure water is not flowing back to the machine from drain hose). Check wire harness connections to: Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU). Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

My Maytag Epic front load washer is dripping a small amount of water from the water entry point in the tub. Is this normal after washing a load of clothes? I have not noticed it before.

I do not think this is normal. This may be a sign that your water fill valve is going bad. I would recommend shutting off your water supply valves when not in use and do not leave unattended when in use in case it gets worse. I would get repaired as soon as possible.

Washer flashing 02 F. Maytag epic washer won't spin -flashing 02 F about 15 minutes into the cycle. We just had new electrical components put into it.

You need to use the HE detergent. I believe that is a drain problem. By using the regular detergent that causes more suds and in turn clogs your drain

I own a maytag epic z front loading washer and dryer and when i wash clothes they never get all the way wet and i end up having to rewash them. Im not sure what else to do.

ck to be sure drain hose is not more than 6-8 inches in standpipe top of standpile nees to be 30-36 inches above floor and drain hose should be too snug in standpipe ..any of above conditions may result in water siphoning out and not leaving enough water in tub ..washer only uses 5-6 gals per fill based on load so if water is being siphoned out doesn't leave much left
