Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

The answer isn’t as simple as the process because, the
SanDisk has two different options for transferring music from a computer, MTP
(default mode) or MSC. I’m not going to go into the detailed description of
what those acronyms stand for since that would require PMP protocol 101 and I
don’t think you came here for a class.
So, for the purpose of answering your question as well as
for the sake of brevity, I’m going to assume that you have a model e2xx series
unit, and you want to get the music onto your player as easily and quickly as
possible right? If my assumptions are correct then follow below.
Your unit defaults to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol),
which requires SanDisk software media manager or Windows Media Player 10 or
higher and forces you to be familiar with either application just mentioned. We
are going to bypass this for simplicity of use.
We need to switch your unit to use MSC mode, which in
essence allows you to connect your SanDisk via USB, use Windows Explorer to
drag and drop files to folders you create on the player.
Process 1: Steps
If
you prefer to use MSC (default) mode, use Windows Media Player 10 or
higher and “sync” your playlist with your player or download the current version of SanDisk Media Manager.
Note: Should you decide to use MSC (default) mode, there is a possibility you will have to update the firmware on your player to ensure the player works with the software required. That's a totally different scenario that isn't comfortable with some users so proceed with caution on firmware updates and always read the Sansa support site before doing this.
