You have to either hard reset the Kindle Fire and then sign in with the correct Amazon account it sounds like either the Kindle is set up with someone else's account or you not login to Amazon
Presumably you have a Google account, go to Google play store, click icon top left looks like 3 lines,My apps, update all, device will install all your apps.
I've had the same problem and was told by an Amazon customer service person that the Archos 7 Home Tablet must not be a recognized device. I've brought the issue to the attention of Archos technical support and they claim to know nothing about another companies software and could not help. I don't think there is a solution, I think it just doesn't work on this device. I don't know why they included the kindle e reader app if it is useless on this device. I also rec'd Syncables 360 software and I can't get it to work either and technical support for that software is non existent. I tried calling the phone number a couple of times and was disconnected each time. I will be contacting the company I purchased this from to log a complaint.
easy i had the same problem. download kindle for pc. run all the instructions and then download kindle pc converter which will change the kindle editions into PDF files :) only problem is the kindle pc converter is a trial version and you will eventually have to buy this software. then hook up your archos ebook and copy the books to your ebook folder or the SD card and enjoy your reading
