Lg kp500 is not sending or recieving text messages

just like sending a text message but before you send it choose option to insert a picture/audio or video (media file must be stored on the cell),,,then send to whoever you wish to send it to

this is because, you mms settings is not configured.

Call the customer care of your network provider and ask them to send the mms configuration settings to your phone.

Once this is done, you will be able to receive and send pic messages with your phone.

This may work:

Go to messages bit, settings, multimedia message, scroll down to multi msg centre,

Now if you're on montly contract, select pay monthyl, etc
try sending the message again, sometimes it may not send it properly, u may have to send the message one or twice, it'l only charge u once though,

check you bluetooth is on visible mode or not than check your phone memory is enough to recieve the item or not...

This can occur when you compose a message and then hit recipient and then enter the contacts name. The phone will say 'Sending' then 'Cannot send/retrieve messages'.If you enter the recipients NUMBER the transmission will work OK.

If you want to send a text to someone by NAME, select their name from the 'Contacts' list then hit the Message icon (envelope). Write the message then hit send...

Most likely an issue with your message center number, contact T-Mobile and they'll verify that you have the correct one.

you need to check that the SMS centre number is stored in your phones SMS settings (you can get different mobile provider service number by searching the net) If you cant enter it, then get a different SIM card, the same provider as yours, put it in your cookie and send a message. Then put your SIm back in, and you should be able to send messages.

I had the same problem.
This is a bug.
You have to send it back. And you get a new lg cookie in return. Without any costs!
(but you have to call LG, for making that appointment)
