Synchronize to continue your music subscription

When we download the songs to the player it shows up in the player but the message synchronize to continue your music subscription pops up and will not play the song. How can we fix this? When I turn on my Sandisk Sansa Clip Mp3 player. My first song comes up,but when I press the play button it says, "Scynchronize to continue music subscription". I have no idea what is going on. Any assistance would be great.

This my solution to "Synchornize to continue music Subscription"

    1. Downloaded Windows Media Player 11

    2. After dowloading Windows Media Player 11, open Windows Media Player 11

    3. Plug in your device

    4. Click on the Sync tab

    5. Under the Sync tab you will see a little drop down arrow. Click the drop down arrow

    6. Go to your device name (Ex. Sansa Clip 2GB)

    7. From there, click Set up Sync

    8. Then in the upper left hand side you will see a message with a box next to it that says "Sync this device automatically". Check the small box next to the message.

    9. Then click "Finish"

    10. Your synchronizing should be starting now and when it is finshed, unplug your device and play it to see if its working

I hope this solution will work for you! :)

Mine has worked for months and for the last two weeks has been giving me this. I have de and reauthorized the device, I have updated the track licenses and I upgraded to WMP 11 and just synced it in WMP 11 per your instructions, but that still didn't work.

NOt playing songs says(synchronize to continue your music subscri

If you got your songs from a music service, especially Rhapsody, the songs have a fixed-term DRM license on them. After a certain period of time - sometimes as little as 3 days - you have to resynchronize the songs to the music service from where you got the songs. If you let your music service subscription lapse, then the songs will not be usable until you renew your subscription. This process of resynchronizing the songs to the music service does not always go smoothly. Sometimes synchronizing through Rhapsody or another service does not resolve your issue - in this case, you will have to go through the long, tedious process of deleting the affected songs off of your player and reloading them - either through the music service or through Windows Media Player.

If you never want to deal with this problem again, the solution is to only download songs that are in mp3 format. Mp3 files do not expire once your music service subscription has expired, and they do not give you strange messages to resynchronize the files.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

The "synchronize files to continue" is annoying, and you are likely to get it again. If the music files on your player came from Rhapsody, the short-term solution is to re-synch the files through Rhapsody itself. If your subscription to Rhapsody, Overdrive, etc. ever expires, you will also get this message. The only long-term way around this problem is to only load songs that are in mp3 format (Rhapsody has an Mp3-Only subscription, which is different from its regular subscription; Limewire is another choice - but it is prone to have viruses, and some ISPs will cut off your broadband if you use the service). If you wanted to erase all songs and start over from scratch, you could update the firmware on the player - it will have the side effect of erasing everything on the player.

Good luck!

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

You will need to sync the deivce to Rhapsody or whatever msuic svc you have been using. If the subscription has lapsed, you will not be able to use the songs anymore.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

I ran into the same problem with my Sansa when listening to legally downloaded audio books from the local library. This is what I found:

  • " Are you sure the player is in MTP(plays for sure) mode when you transfer it? You can check by going to settings>usb mode on the player itself. I think it needs to be for you to use library files like that. " (This worked for me)
  • "are you copy and pasting the files? if so you will need to use WMP to sync the files. copy and paste might not be transferring the license." (didn't try this -- didn't need to)
Hope this helps.

E250 message "synchronize to continue your music subscription"

The songs that are giving you this message are in WMA - the music service that was used to download them either has an expired subscription, or you have to resynchronize that player to that music service (whether it was Rhapsody or not). Also, the songs that are giving you this message might have had fixed-term licenses, and now the licenses have expired. Here are your options:
1) Renew the music service subscription
2) If it is renewed, then resynchronize your player to that music service
3) Convert those songs to mp3 format (probably illegal)
4) Remove the DRM encryption from those songs (definitely illegal)

Those are your choices.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

it's asking that you verify the DRM status (i.e., that you bought it and it resides on YOUR computer.) It cannot play the file until you synchronize it with windows media player. You can delete them off of the MP3 player just by noting which songs don't play and deleting them through windows explorer when the player is connected.

Maybe you should mention that if you format, it will delete all your songs?

Error Message

You have to synchronize your Sansa to a computer that has a current subscription to Rhapsody, and you have to sync the Sansa to that same computer at least once every 30 days, or the Rhapsody songs will stop working. Use a different music service that is free, or convert all of the songs to Mp3 format to get around the problem. If you get a subscription to another music svc, then you must maintain a current subscription with whatever new svc you choose as well.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

Do you have an account with Rhapsody? The preloaded music is part of the Rhapsody subscription service. If you dont have an account, you will receive that message until you delete the preloaded music, or subscribe to the Rhapsody Service. Best of Luck.
