Turn it off, take out the power supply and battery. Now open it and take out the button battery. With those things out, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain residual charge. try to boot it up. It should work now
Test the laptop using an external monitor If this works fine, then the issue is with the screen, or possibly the vga cable. I notice this is referred to as a compatible screen, was this obtained new, or is it 2nd hand. Although most 15.4 screens fit most 15.4 laptops, some do not display correctly, this might be your problem. If you know the screen to be good I would suspect the connection at the back of the screen
If this still shows issues with an external monitor, you have a problem with your graphics chip on the motherboard
the short cable running from the power button to the main board has
probably snapped where it passes over the RH hinge. remove the screen
surround to gain access to the power on switch area and check. it would
seem to be a common fault with the packard bell
