Ewave microwave This morning I discovered there is no response to any of the keypad entries. I was greeted with the running message to touch the clock pad to enter the time in several languages, but there was no response. There was no response to any other key pad either, fan, light, timer, coffee heater. What happened? And is there anything I can do other than throw the microwave out?
I've seen th no responding keypad several times after a power glitch, if you don't enter the time withen a few minutes of the power glitch the touch pad will not respond. I recycled power to the microwave and it works for now. The problem I'm actually trying to resolve is the keypad is intermittent. If you keep pressing in the touchpad, it starts working. I'm looking for a fix to that problem. 6-28-08I've seen th no responding keypad several times after a power glitch, if you don't enter the time withen a few minutes of the power glitch the touch pad will not respond. I have e wave over the range microwave I was using it and all of a sudden it tripped a breaker. I reset the breaker but only thing that works is the light in the oven what could be the problem.

An F3 error code indicates that the keypad for the control panel is bad
or has a short. This will cause the microwave to beep continuously after
the set clock message appears.
On many models of
microwave oven means a problem with the touch panel, (tact switches).
F2-E0 - Shorted Touch Pad (Keypad) - Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure. Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds. If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

The oven operation can be locked to prevent the microwave from accidentally being turned on. All oven functions can be locked.
To Set: Touch and hold the CANCEL/OFF Pad for three seconds. The Display shows “LOCKED” and the oven beeps.
To Cancel: Touch and hold the CANCEL/OFF Pad for three seconds. “LOCKED” disappears from the Display and the oven beeps.
If this does not work, then try a hard reset: Unplug the unit for a
minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.
If it still fails, you probably have a problem with the controller.

The Keypad is a Circuit. Each of the Function Buttons is a switch. The same "Touch" Techinology as is used of your TV Remote Control Pad or your Telephone. It would appear that your Keypad Circuit is Open, not allowing touch commands to reach the Control Board. The Keypad will have to be replaced. Best done by a Professional. I have seen "Rare" cases of a defective Door Switch causing such symptoms.
