Hi there
My washing machine Hoover A6590 has not been used for 7 years.
I have been trying to start using again but unsuccesfully. The 'hot water hose' is not conected as I do not need hot water. My question is : Is 'hot water connection ie hot water pressure condition for machine to start operation ???
Thank You very much for your time and efforts
Michael

Possible that the inlet valve is choked , clogged or faulty. You need to check the power to the valve when the washer is switched on, if there is no power the control panel is faulty and if there is power and no flow inwards then the valve must be removed and cleaned. If there is no result the valve must be replaced. check this link: inlet valve.

Hi,
if it,s 7 years old. you,ve had your moneys worth. Scrap it and buy a new one.
as a repair solution, Check that the machine is emptying.
And that the pump has,nt got a coin/badge or anything else wedged in it.
