If this is a GE top load washer, I have see it a few time's. You can go to your local hardware store and get 2 new 4 inch bolts and nut set. and reattach the counter weight. The old bolts were just screwed to the frame. With today's appliance's they use 1/32 to 1.16 sheet metal... it don't take much to strip that out.


Next time post brand and model number...make's it easier.

Pump is toast can be fixed at repair shop or tech guy but usually better off with new washer parts labor not cheap chance happen again likely

What brand washer is it? They have to know. I have a GE King size top load and Richard Ross, a GE expert said I needed a new Control Board. My husband installed it and now it starts, stops and pauses when I want it to. It was around $130 for the part. Make sure you know your brand and model number.

had the same problem but 7 or 8 months it started had it replaced and 7 or 8 months on new again same problem, a speed wash which is 36 mins takes 1.5 to 2 hrs

GE does have unusual error codes. The machine is expecting the wash barrel to be empty in a specific amount of time and it is taking longer than expected. You either have a clog in the drain line or your drain hose may be twisted causing it to drain slowly. Sorry, I do not know where the filter is located on this model but those are the two most common things to check.

Check the cold water hose. My brand new machine had this behavior until I discovered a kink in the cold water hose - works great now.

Send it back and get yourself a nice top loader w/o digital settings. The front loaders look good and all but i see so many unhappy post about them I myself will wash in a bucket before accepting on of the front loads free.
