SOURCE: loud noise during spin cycle
this is my experience repairing the maytag washer Atlantis mav series 9750 aww, I had to replace the spin bearing since it was making a jet engine noise when it was spinning out the water. its not an easy job for my 1st time taking this machine apart, you literally take it all apart to get to this bearing, but now I can show how to do it with pictures making it easier for you to do it. even if you have to replace something other than the spin bearing, this how to tutorial will show you how to get to most of the parts in this machine

SOURCE: Maytag Legacy washer MAV408DAWW loud noise, dumped all water
Tub bearings and seal have failed. My SAV405DAWW just started with the loud grinding and I am now in the process of finding out if I can fix it myself. Kurt

I have an asko W6021 and it grinds occasionally when full or empty(on up to second or third load). I have checked for nails/coins etc in wash - nothing. I have put through an empty wash with vinegar in case it was build up from soap powders - nothing.
I had someone tell me it is rubber seals not lubricated on both sides when built so will do it when seals are dry. To fix $30 seal $200 install. Don't want to destroy machine if thats not it and don't want to pay $230 upwards to fix it as machine is only 3 years old.

The agitator spins slower and emits a loud grinding noise ( like stripped gears).
