Check to see if the locking slide on the side has been accidentally pushed: one of my new ones was like this.

Have you tried to format it with the camera? It may need formatting in order to unlock it.

Memory card locked

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a SanDisk SDHC Card class 4 4 gb and it won't work in my Canon Power shot SD630, I get a memory error that says card is locked, however card is not locked, what camera canI use this card in?

The SD630 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It does not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Your SDHC card can be used in any camera that accepts SDHC cards.

I just bought a new sd 2mb sandisk card but computer won't detect it

Are you using a Memory Card adapter? Or are you using the SD slots that are built into your computer?
Go to the 'Start' menu and choose "My Computer"

The card should be there, if not, then make sure that the little 'lock' button isn't set to lock.

A lot of times when you insert the card, it will switch the position from unlocked to locked.

Good luck

I put a brand new SanDisk SDHC 4 GB memory card in and it says "memory card error; card is locked".

I also own an A620, but unfortunately I also learned the hard way that SDHC cards are not compatible with this camera. The A620 was designed before the newer SDHC format came out, thus although they look exactly the same, your camera will never work with these cards. Your camera uses standard SD cards (2GB or less). There are some standard 4GB SD cards, but they are very rare these days, and costly.

Memory card locked

On your SD card, there is a small tab near the top (similar to floppy a disks), just switch that the other way it should fix that lock error.

Locked memory card

I guess it is a simple switch problem..

try to switching it between lock and unlock many times until it become ok again..

If it will still not unlock itself, try to format it, for some errors to erased and starts a new one.

Memory card locked

I noticed that this camera does not work well with cheaper memory cards. The only brand that works without fail is the SanDisk brand.

Computer doesn't recogize my SanDisk 2GB Memory Card

you could try downloading directly from the camera, using the appropriate USB lead, if the camera can see it it should be able to download via cable.
