Hi. This could be a power adapter problem. Try this troubleshooting first, if nothing happens then i suggest you purchase a new adapter. Take out the battery and unplugged the power adapter to the wall socket. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs. Put everything back in then turn ON the computer.

Asus eee pc 1000ha wont take charge from adapter

try unplugging from the mains, remove the battery, hold the power button down for 30 seconds. plug the mains adapter in and try turning on. if it doesn't work then it's either the power socket or the mainboard.
if it does work, then try it again with the batter in. if it stops working then your battery's shot.

My Asus Eee PC 1001PXD battery won't charge. The charges light is on but nothing happens and now the battery is completely dead and I cannot get my notebook on

Your problem is far more than the battery. Your problem is the power cord. Laptops for the most part will work off the power cord even if the battery is dead or even if the battery is not in the laptop. Your power cord charges your battery and if it is bad it will not charge it. You've been working off your battery even though you might have had the power cord plugged in, but if it's bad and not charging the battery, the battery drains and then you can't get the laptop to power on at all. Go purchase a ac adapter and power cord that is designed for your system. Don't buy one that some of the big box stores sell that has a an interchangeable plug at the end designed to fit just about any laptop. Those will eventually burn *********** board out.

The net book does not start at all even with charger pluged in. Even the LED won't light. I replaced the charger but still the same problrm. Thanks, Jamal

unplug the charger, remove the battery, press the power button for at least 1 minute.
plug in the charger, try starting the computer as normal, if nothing happens and it's under guarantee then contact asus (good luck). if not under guarantee, try removing and reinserting the memory. if that doesnt work expect the worst. you might want to take it to your local repair shop.

My PC will not cut on and when your charging it does not show a charge light

what exactly do you mean by "it will not cut on"? And its possible that there is a problem with your battery or your charger. Have you gone through any power surges or thunderstorms recently? Does your power cable appear damaged?

Hi, i have asus eee pc net book, what was the issue is...... when ever i try to charge my netbook when netbook is truned on, the adopter light is blinking. when the netbook is truned off its chargeing...

When the adopter light is blinking. when the net-book is turned off means that is charging, but if the light remains for a lobg period of time there is something wrong with the battery or the charger.

Here is small tool Imtec Battery Mark designed to test the battery laptop life. You can run laptop battery test in two modes (fast and normal) and Imtec Battery Mark will provide full assessment of your Laptop battery at the end of test.

The dead battery charger means the charger can not work : can not charge the laptop battery or can not run the laptop. When our laptop battery can not charge, we must check the battery and charger state. Now let me list the steps of test our battery and charger below.

Make sure the powerbook g4 battery charger cable is plugged in and the output is to power.

Look closely at the battery. Is there corrosion or leakage? If so, replace the inspiron 6400 battery immediately.

Test the charger. For DC chargers, a voltmeter set at 25 VDC and touch the contacts with the probes. The meter should read about more than 1 V Evaluation of the shipper. If the reading is zero, change battery catheters.

Testing a AC charger through the establishment of a voltmeter to 25 VAC. Tap the contact probes. The transformer in the charger is bad if you get no reading.

Check contacts. These are strips of metal or points in the appliance and charging cradle. With the batetry charger unplugged, clean with a cotton swab. Use a fine emery board to remove visible corrosion.

My Asus netbook won't power up at all. The last time it powered up I was able to login then I heard a whirring sound and the screen went black. Now there are no lights whatsoever on the netbook.

The whirring sound came from the hard disk - either it has died or thepower sent to it was too little to make it work .
Remove the battery and try to boot in the BIOS with the netbook attached to the charger - if you can't do that then you have a hardware failure. Remove the hard disk and try again - if it fails even now then the motherboard is gone.

I have the identical problem as chrisdangelo

hello

I have read your problem and the solution to your problem may be following.
  • The BIOS setting may have changed. You can reset the BIOS settings.
  • The hard disk type may have changed..look for SATA and ATA.
  • Or your window got corrupt.Reset the BIOS setting and reinstall the windows using boot able CD.
  • if nothing work out then may be your hard disk connector is loose or your hard disk is gone.
thank you
