This is a recent fault which just happened this arvo - everytime I turn my fone on it lights up on the LCD when I press it for a sec, but then it cuts out. I thought it was the battery but when I hooked up my charger the whole keypad lights up in RED - that doesn't sound good. What's the issue?

same hear basterd nokia make u wait 3 months for it then u have to send it back just send it back and get a new 1 and put a bomb in da fone cuz nokia are **** takers and all deserve to die
In my experience when a server/computer does absolutely nothing when the power button is pressed it is a dead processor. That may not be the case in your situation. It could be as simple as a defective power switch. Is the switch a soft touch or does it push in and click? Does the switch feel normal when pushed? One of the power supplies could also be bad. Do you have any good power supplies to test in the server? Were there any power outages recently that could have caused damage to the PSU? I would start with checking the switch. You could hook up a circuit tester and see if the switch completes the circuit when depressed. Also take a look inside the server and look for any loose connections on the mainboard. It is possible the wire for the power switch has come loose.
if its blank you have to replace the lcd screen with a new one.
sometimes it maybe a flex cable problem which occurs in some slide phones.

you can just buy an lcd screen off ebay, replacing the lcd screen yourself isnt hard with the tools provided. you just have to take the ribbon cable from the old lcd screen and insert the new lcd screen and plug in the ribbon cable for it.
the reason for original Nokia n95 8Gb lcd screens being so expensive to repair/replace is that it is also the same lcd screen used for the Nokia N96.
This could be a software glitch. Perform reset settings on the handset. You will not lose any date, only personalized settings will be resorted to factory defaults. If this still does not help, you would need to reflash the software on the handset.
just update ur fone firmware OR hard format ur n73... by following method:
(note : b4 u do any of the above solution remove the password of memory card and also take the backup of ur memory card through Nokia pc suite not by using cardreaders....)
hard format :
remove memory card
switch off the fone
now press call key(green) + 3 + * key
keep on pressing all three keys and switch on the fone ... dont release the keys untill the fone boots on....
the fone settings will be restored to its default... also all d security codes of fone will be retored to defaults....
now ur problem is solved .... put ur memory card back.... n if it still asks for memory card unlock password ... then jus format it .....through fone..... it wont ask again.....
