Robot Coupe MP450 Handheld Blender Logo
Posted on Sep 01, 2010

I inherited a braun 4169 immersion blender and it seems that the previous owner did not realize it could be taken apart for cleaning! it is totally stuck together- how can i take it apart properly? I've managed to scrape out all the dried stuff holding it together, but i can't seem to push down the little button to actually pull it apart, thanks for any help you can offer!

I didn't Google the 4169 because I had the manual. I did it because I NEED it.

Braun 4169 disassembly procedure

4169 blender dismantling. this device is not suitable to be dismantled but this is how I did it. 1 disconnect from the mains. 2 lever off operating lever button at opposite end to hinge 3 insert sharp screwdriver into gap by top lid at same side as cable entry and prise off 4 heat up the casing with an electric paint stripper, wear gardening gloves. 5 when the casing starts to get pliable, insert a driver into the gap above the operating button locating lip and prise away as far as you can 6 do this with the locating peg on the other side 7 work between the two until the whole thing comes apart 8 lever out the motor, it will slide out once loosened 9 wash out the blender drive shaft with boiling water and detergent 10 dry out the body and soak the inside with silicone oil 11 work the blender blade until it spins freely 12 clean everything up and push it all back together 13 if any parts are deformed with the heat gun reheat them to a pliable state and reform them as best you can 14 if it is all loose when its back together, glue the joints with superglue and spray with glue accelerator 15 test it and if it's no good chuck it in the bin and buy a new one 16 but mine works fine.
