SOURCE: Nerf Vulcan won't auto-fire
I had the same problem with two guns out of the box. Turned out that the dividers in the battery tray kept the batteries from touching each other on some brands of batteries. Remove the dividers and should work. You can verify this by measuring the voltage on the two terminals of the battery pack.

SOURCE: when try to shoot gun
Hi Mat_11,
Though your description is vague, you are describing what is possibly a very dangerous occurrence.
As neither the category nor your description contain any detail about the make, model, caliber or whether you are describing a toy, I am compelled to respond as if this were a 'worst case scenario',
If you are talking about a lead projectile propelled by exploding gunpowder becoming lodged in the barrel of an actual firearm, DO NOT FIRE IT AGAIN!
The blowback can cause catastrophic, unpredictable and potentially deadly results.
If you are describing some sort of toy gun, think about our point of view reading it. If you are serious about needing help, you need to post your problem again in much more detail.
However, if you are describing any type of gun, pistol, rifle, grenade launcher, mortar, cannon, mortar-cannon, howitzer, rail gun, etc., you need to get it checked out by a certified pro (Not on line, but LIVE and in person) before you try to fire it again.
Considering most people hold firearms in their favorite hands with the reactive force of a mishap directed squarely back at their face, I would urge you to take this advice seriously.
I hope you understand I am trying to protect you from injury.
Mike

SOURCE: First bullet fires fine but
It's a problem with the motor that creates the pressured air used to launch the bullets. You need to have it changed.

SOURCE: HELP!!! My nerf gun maverick is broken.? when i
I had the same problem too. Try opening it up and looking at some online pictures and compare them, if you still cant find the problem and you have the receipt, take the unit back where you got it from. Look at the springs really closely my maverick was broken due to a spring that slid out of its elevated piece of plastic. I fixed it lubricated some parts and put it back to together. It works great now. :)
