Im trying to charge my sony np-bg1 battery with the digipower travel charger. from my understanding, in the user guide it says that when a battery is charging the light will be red. well i have the battery on there and its green..so im assuming its not charging. i put it in the camera and it still was dead. how can i get the charger to charge my battery?

Well, I can't find the instructions online anywhere, but the charger seems easy enough to use. The battery contacts need to come in contact with the contacts in the charger. This particular charger automatically figures out the + and - so if you insert it incorrectly, it doesn't hurt anything.

The first charge you should let it go overnight, so it has a good solid charge. After that it depends on the mAH of the battery, the higher the number, like 1400, it should take about 3 hours. There should be a led light on the charger, its red when charging and turns green when completed. The chargers have a voltage regulator on them, so that you can't over charge a battery.
