Cleaner just spins - Hayward Phantom Pool Cleaner Complete with Booster Pump

There are a few potential reasons why your LG Roboking robotic vacuum cleaner might be spinning:

Remove brush bar cover...is the belt broken, cut or stretched to the point of being ineffective? Is the brush bar full of hair or string?
Pull the belt forward...does the pulley spin? Turn the cleaner on
and see if the pulley spins...if it does I think a new belt will be needed.
Be sure to buy the right one.

The DVD laser pickup is at the end of life, replacement of assembly the only option, cheaper to replace the combo unit.

It could be a bend or kink in the pool cleaners hose. If you store the hose coiled, this is what is causing it. Try laying the hose out in the sun and let the hose straighten to its original form. It could also be heavy debris in the cleaner or the pressure being too high. You might need to adjust your spin out options.

Is the cleaner getting stuck at steps, corners, etc? If so, your spin out is too short. Change the cam to the "winter" position to increase the pool cleaners spin out.

too much cleaner in the mixture, do you see the little fan type thing in the window spin usually when you dispense cleaner well it won't spin and dispense cleaner if you get it too soapy or concentrated.

The reason for the brushes to stop when it is above any surface is there is a switch in the handle that stops the brushes so it dont burn your motor up it may have a faulty switch.
