I purchased a Casio Exilim Ex-S880 8.1Megapixel Digital Camera last Christmas. Intermittently the camera just stops working for no apparent reason. The power just turns off with the lens in the 'out' position. It will do this with a fully charged battery and has to be left for maybe an hour before it will work again. Have you any idea what may be causing this? The camera has never been dropped or abused in any way. Thanks for your help.

I'm using a 2Gb card which currently contains about 600 photos.It appears that the camera is having trouble with this quantity. Removing half the photos solved the problem.

I have a casio exilim 8.1mp ex-z80 green digital camera. The casing is no longer presentable. Do you know where is the CASIO SERVICE CENTER here in the philippines, specially in davao city...
It could be the battery isn't taking a charge. Since your purchased the camera last February you could be still covered under warranty. I would check with Casio.com. I found this link on their website:
