I need to install nikon coolpix l18 on my computer but i do not have the installaion CD what can i do?

Having gone over a month without a response, I assume this is no longer an issue.

Try Nikon Transfer. Or simply use a card reader and the computer's operating system to copy the files.

Sometimes you need software to synchronize your camera with your pc. It usually comes along in the cd with the camera. Dont worry, if you dont have one, just take out the memory card from the camera and put it in the card reader of your pc. Now you can transfer your files.

it wont show on window2000 it will show only in windowXP for window 2000 u need drivers cd of nikon coolpix install that 1st

try uploading your pictures using your friend's similar datacable.. if you are able to do it then the problem lies with your cable.replace it. if the computer still doesnt recognize your camera try using a memory card reader and you can easily upload your pictures through it.. hope your problem is tackled. thanks for using fixya!. please dont forget to rate my solution.

You don't need the disk to transfer your pictures from your camera to your computer. Just take your sd card out of your camera and plug it into your computer. A folder with your pictures will appear on your computer. Copy them to a different folder on your computer, so you can take your sd card out and still have them on there.
If that doesn't work, plug the cable in that came with your camera, and hopefully that will work. I hope this helps. Please rate my solution.
