First, You will need internet access.
Second, copy and paste the following link in to your URL bar in your browser: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/zipgenius.html.
Zip Genius is a "Freeware" program, meaning there isn't any trial
period like there is with WinZip. The program is completely free to use
as you wish.
Once there, you'll see a blue button that says "download", press that and the download option will pop up. Save the file to a folder on your computer.
Third, go to the downloaded file, double click the file and follow the installation procedure.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
I have suggested this program "Zip Genius" because I happen to use it, am very happy with its performance and appreciate the way it integrates into Windows. Having said that, you have a 64 bit system and the current version of Zip Genius doesn't fully integrate with your operating system yet, though it still performs its primary functions.
Here's information that explains this issue:
Note for 64bit Windows users
ZipGenius
is a 32bit application for Windows®, so its shell extensions (like the
handy context menu) are not working in 64 bit Windows versions. This
means that you cannot right-click on a zip file to decompress it if
your computer uses Windows (XP, Vista, 7) for 64 bit machines.
However we are working very hard to
build the 64 bit versions of our shell extensions and we just let out a
BETA1 release of the Shell Extensions Pack for ZipGenius. This package
works just like an update, so you have to install ZipGenius first (or
you need to have ZipGenius already installed).
I hope this helps.
