I recently fixed the blinking green light problem following advice here. Now, about a week later, when I turn on the tv, I get image for a few seconds and then the screen goes blank/dark. Green light stays on but no picture. Sharp Aquos 60" LC60E77UN LCD HDTV

MY philips tv model number 55PL9773/17 WAS TURNING OFF THE SCREEN AND LEAVING THE AUDIO ON FOR ONE MINUTE. THEN THE YELLOW LIGHT STAYED ON. THEN THE LIGHT TURNED OFF. thEN I TURNED ON WITH THE REMOTE AND THE YELLOW LIGHT TURNED ON AND A FEW SECONDS LATER CHANGED TO THE GREEN LIGHT AND THE TV TURNED ON. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, BETWEEN 10 AND 30 IT DID THE SAME THING. NOW IT IS OFF WITH A BLINKING RED LIGHT PERMANENTLY ON. TO TURN IT OFF I HAVE TO UNPLUG IT FROM THE WALL. I REPLACE THE LAMP A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IT IS FINE.

Replace the Main Power Supply inside the TV.

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

The 52525 is definitely going to either:

1. have the caps on the FMT/DM board replaced (not something I'd recommend you do yourself)

2. have the electrical chassis rebuilt (as sometimes, you can replace the caps and still have the problem).

I had this similar problem TWICE!!!. I called around for a repairman and they charged over $300 dollars to repair (HELL NO). Anyways I took a trip to Vegas hoping to win some of the money to repair it and left the TV plugged in and BLINKING during my trip. When I came back it was not blinking anymore and I got curious. Well I pressed the power button and to my surprise IT TURNED ON!!!!. A month later I moved to a different house and unplugged my TV to move it and when I plugged it in the DAMN BLINKING GREEN LIGHT OF DEATH was back. Well I thought I'd get lucky again and leave the blinking on, well 2 days later the blinking was gone and ONCE AGAIN MY TV WAS ON...... I hope this helps and works for other people. My point is, before you pay for a technician to repair it and before you give up on your TV and unplug it, Try leaving it on BLINKING for a few days and see what happens.

If your set was manufactured around July 2005, you may need a firmware upgrade to solve this issue. On the Sony website you can enter your model # and serial # to see if you TV is affected. If so, it is easy to have done and may be free from Sony. It sounds like the issue they described in the writeup on the required formware update. I had mine done within few months of when i bought it (purchased in Dec 2005) and it has been working flawlessly since.

Yup, it seems a lamp problem can give a blinking green light over the 10 times (1 - 10 times for diagnostic codes), but in my case rather than replace the bulb if it works for a minute then resets with the green light blinking, do what I did.
Take the lamp out and inspect it, it has breather screens top and bottom, if it cant breath because there clogged with dust, clean them, and you can remove the screens, use q-tips and clean the inside. I saved the cost of a lamp and it's working fine!

alright guys...blew a bulb....fixed that. still didint work...found out it was ballast...replaced that. tv worked for a month..all the sudden hdmi input didint work id plug in my playstation and screen would turn green and say "hdmi color has been corrupted" im thinking wtf? so a week later it works fine then just turns off in middle of watching espn... comes back on an hour later...only to turn off again...it just turns black for ten seconds then just turns off and the red and green lights blink at intervals of one second....replaced a bulb..not that, same problems.......when the tv comes on for the ten minutes before it quits working the pic and sound are great i just dnt get it...is it shorting out? color wheel bad? a fan?

the tv will try to reboot a few times. just let i try and eventually it will start blinking red. if you could count the red blinks then i can further assist you.
