There aren't specific drivers for a CD/DVD drive, they came built in the windows installer. If you have problems with you CD/DVD drive, you will have to change it. It's very easy, you won't have to dissamble the laptop. You can see on youtube how to replace a CD/DVD drive:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Nj_sizEBw8&feature=related. There are CD/DVD drivers for 10$ on second hand.
Does the drive it self come up.
Lightly push on the side of the drive tray.
Works for me.
To re-install the drive.
1. Turn off the laptop.
2. Press the power button quickly then relese as this tells the laptop to detect the drives.
They also have a phone number! If you can't locate a way to temporarily turn off Driver Dective, ask them. Once it's turned off, you should be able to D/L your drivers and install them.
