I accidentally turned off the transmitter to receive the time updates; How do I turn it back on?

Pull on the knob to release the timer.

has run out, contact your authorized Polar Service Center for a replacement transmitter. Polar recycles used transmitters;;;

I think you have the wrong time zone selected. Some zones are 30 min. off the rest. just in case

Instruction book page E-23. To turn auto receive on or off. In Timekeeping mode press D (Lower right) to display last Signal screen. It should say GET at the bottom and show the last time it updated. (Or ERR) Hold down A until the receiving indicator and current auto receive setting (ON or OFF) start to flash. Press D to toggle auto receive on. A again to end.
If you tried to make it receive manually this will be turned off. If the GET screen said ERR then it did not update and auto receive would still be off. I had to do the manual thing about 20 times before it updated. A upper left C lower left D lower right A upper right (light)

The watch will set itself at specific time set times, this is likely to be at 0200 0400 and 0600.
You will however be required to set the time zone, the switch is likely to be on the back.

How does it work.
SHORT VERSION:
Radio set clocks and watches receive a 60-kilohertz, radio signal from the NIST the official timekeeper for the US and is located in Boulder, Colorado. Ft. Collins. they use atomic clocks and transmits this official time via high frequency short-wave and low frequency AM radio signals, satellite transmission, Internet, and via telephone.

The receive indicator tells you the strength of the signal when the timing signal was transmitted, (this occurs only during the night).

The strength of the signal dictates how much of the indicator is shown i.e. full strength, full picture, half strength, half picture, no picture, no signal.

Signal strength seems to vary with location (how far you are from the transmitter), so perhaps you are in a poor reception area.

This watch will set it's self in a 24 hour time frame. You need only set the time zone your in.

If it does not correct it's self change location in your house. It receives the signal at 0200 0400 and 0600 for the correction.

The transmitter is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. this station transmits the time codes and is best received at night.

I have several of the both watches and clocks and love them.

Just pull the crown out, turn it so that the bottom analog display is set on "CAL" and push crown back in. Voila!!
