My Frigidaire Gall Wall Oven #FGB24S5ASA is not heating properly. Sometimes the oven will heat up, but it heats VERY SLOW and I have to set the temp 25 degrees higher to achieve the appropriate temp. Sometimes, the oven will only heat to 200 degrees and stop. Sometimes it will heat to 300 degrees then fall back to 200 degrees. Broiler seems to work just fine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The best way for you to check is to swap with other element since they use the same one. FRIST turn the breaker off! Then take out the 2 screws on the element. The wires unplug, make sure they don't go back in the holes or the oven may have to come out to find them. You can pull the element out and take it to a parts house to see if they can check it with a ohm meter for you if you don't want to pull both of them out.

I would say to go and reset your curciut breaker first if this is a electric oven. needs 220 volts for both element to work

SOURCE: My frigidaire oven won't heat. The burners work

You have two elements turn on the broil and see if the top element comes on if it does replace the bottom element.

I have a Frigidaire oven that's does not heat up to high temp.

If your Frigidaire oven is not heating up to the high temperature, there could be a few possible causes:
  1. The thermostat may be malfunctioning: The thermostat controls the temperature of the oven and if it's not working correctly, it could prevent the oven from reaching the high temperature.
  2. The heating element may be malfunctioning: If the heating element is not working properly, the oven may not be able to reach the high temperature.
  3. The control board may be malfunctioning: If the control board is not functioning properly, it may not be sending the correct signals to the heating element or thermostat, preventing the oven from reaching the high temperature.
  4. The oven may be in a cleaning or self-cleaning cycle: when the oven is in a cleaning cycle, the temperature is raised to a high level to clean the interior of the oven.
  5. The oven may be in a energy saver mode: some ovens have a energy saver mode that decrease the temperature by a certain degree to save energy.

Frigidaire PLEB30T8CCB Double wall oven - heating to temp, but not maintaining.

Your wiring diagram and parts schematics are here in the link below. Normally the bottom element does glow read hot after a couple of minutes. Broil elements last a lot longer because they aren't used as much. There is only one Control Board. If I was guessing, I would say the temperature sensor is at fault. Elements either work, or they don't, but you can easily test continuity with a meter. Many parts are discontinued.

Bottom oven isn't heating to desired temp. Considering swapping the heating elements to see if one is faulty - thoughts?

try thermostat first. verify heating elements operational, if so check if tstats are same. swap if so, If not jump out tstat and see if higher temp achieved.

Have a frigidaire wall oven that won't get to 400 degrees

Hello Bruce Hubley, thanks for your post!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire wall oven will not heat up higher than 400 degrees. It may be a problem with your thermostat or control panel. I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting power from your oven for roughly ten minutes. If this does not help correct your issue I would suggest having a professional come out to provide the proper repairs on your oven. Best of luck! -Matt

Frigidaire oven is slow to heat then exceeds set temp set

Normally you should have an appliance spare parts supplier in your area. They generally stock all range of spares for all appliances. You need to pull plug out of the wall and remove the panel covering the wiring to gain access to the oven thermostat. Look carefully on the body of the thermostat and record any numbers you see on a sticker that's present. Then remove knob off in front of thermostat and see if there is a nut attached to the centre which holds the thermostat in position or if there are 2 screws holding the thermostat in place. Use this information to order the thermostat also quoting the oven model number.

Oven turn's on, keep's heatings at a higher temp.

This is failed communication between the EOC and the temp sensors located in the oven. i recommend testing the EOC(break point test on the pins) for its operational value and the temp sensors as well. replace any component that doesn't register.

I would also inspect the oven temp sensors for welded harness and fouled housings.

In most cases, this will be a EOC issue.

Elements do not heat to proper settings

If both elements are not working properly then the problem is either the temperature probe or the control board.

Replace the temp probe first.
