Plantronics GN9120 microphone is too quiet for listener

I have a Plantronics remote headset on my GN9120. Eveyone I call say that it sounds like I am speaking softly and they can barely hear me. But I can hear them fine. How do I increase the volume on the microphone?

microphone barely registers sound unless you put it to your lips when you speak. which you cannot do since the microphone isn't repositionable or bendable.

I've had this same probelm and after much pressing of buttons eventualy fixed it by reading the manual... :s

Last page page of Quick Set-Up Guide under "Transmit volume adjustment":

1.) Make call to another phone user to assist.
2.) Press + and - on the headset at the same time.
3.) Adjust volume by pressing either - and +.
4.) Confirm volume with helper.
5.) Wait for 10secs and the settings will store.

Wife complains of echoing when listening to me on headset. Love the headset cause I'm hearing impaired.

Plantronics Voyager 510 echoing:

If the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset is being used with the base on a regular telephone, you can adjust the microphone volume on the bottom of the base unit.

If the Voyager 510 headset is being used with just a cell phone... unfortunately there aren't many adjustments. You may want to un-pair and delete the headset from the cell phone totally, and then re-pair it to the phone just to make sure that it has a strong link or connection.

Also just as a side note about Bluetooth headsets and cell phones. Typically the simpler the cell phone, the better the Bluetooth connection and quality.

I have a Plantronics C610 headset. The caller can hear me, but I can not hear the caller.

Here are a couple of things you can try. I included the link for the user guide below.

Callers cannot hear me.
• Headset is muted. Press the mute button on headset to unmute the microphone.
• Headset microphone boom aligned incorrectly. Align the headset boom with your mouth.
• The USB adapter is not set as the default Voice device. Use the Voice settings in Windows under Sounds and Voice Devices to select "Plantronics C610/C620" as the voice device.

Here is a link to the Plantronics C610 User's Guide.

I just bought the gamecom 377 plantronics and although my realtek recognice the microphone i cant use it on any other program or game...

Go into the computer's "control panel" and "audio devices", just to make sure that the Plantronics GameCom 377 is listed as the default device for both the microphone and listening. You sometimes have to designate the headset within the individual software programs as well.

I have a CS361 plantronics wireless headset and I get alot of echoing when I get calls in and out, and when I call my coworker

Reduce speaking volume by changing the speaking volume
major adjust switch setting. See page 15 in the User's Guide (link below).
• Point microphone towards your chin.
• Listening volume too high on phone. If your phone has a handset
volume control, lower this until the distortion disappears.
• If the distortion is still present, lower the listening volume adjust
button on the headset. If the distortion persists, select another
listening volume major adjust switch setting. See page 14 in User's Guide.
• Base is too close to computer or phone. See page 9 in User's Guide for
proper positioning.

When I plug in my Audio 625 Plantronics to my usb port it shows an error - Device not recognized, please help..

If you are using a Mac computer your Plantronics .Audio headset will not work The microphone plug on the .Audio analog headsets is not compatible with a Mac. It will physically fit into the Mic input jack on a Mac; however, it will not function. Basically, the digital sound card does not recognize the analog signal coming in from the headset.

Plantronics Backbeat 906: do they have a music delay when connected to the adaptor via BT? as i want to use them as wireless IEM on stage!

I would not recommend this headset for using on stage, granted it is made to listen to music and answer your phone, but it is not meant as an on-stage microphone with IEM.

My mic is picking up all noises around me why fan breathing sounds typing everything....thought it only picked up my voice. It is very distracting Please help Thanks Caroline

All the Plantronics USB computer headsets have noise-canceling microphones. So, if yours is picking up all the noise around you, there is something wrong with your headset. If it's still under warranty, contact Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5 x5538 for warranty service. If not, it may be time to get a new headset.

I was using the headset for nearly a half year now and it suddenly stopped working i can listen but my microphone isnt working

Probably one or more of the strands of wire in the mic cord have become damaged. If you are still within the 1-year warranty, take it back to your retailer for warranty replacement or call Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5 x5538 for warranty service.

My GN9120 does not connect ...

I solved this over the weekend: I found out, that the GN9120 comes with slightly differing battery sizes. I had to push the contacts deeper inside the housing so they got in touch with the new battery again. I used a very small flat screwdriver to achieve that. You have to be careful not to destroy anything surrounding.
This was an easy solution to a stuoid problem, but the contacts are barely visible in the inside of the GN9120 so i needs to have the idea to search for that as the source of trouble,
