Our company has purchased a Nortel Norstar Meridian M7310 phone system, that has been previously used. We didn't know, but it did not come with voicemail, so it is tough to get calls when I am not here. How do we set it up so that each phone in each office rings whenever a call comes in on any of the lines? Please advise. [email protected]

Power source

A Nortel Key Service Unit, an ICS (MICS,CICS), BCM (50,100 etc), Norstar (308,616,824), an Avaya IP Office running Nortel cards, or there is another company that makes a Nortel emulation key system but I can't recall what it is right now.

All of a sudden the line lights on our nortel switch Meridian M7310 phones started blinking and the lines are dead. Any ideas?

If you only have one line, why not just lose the Nortel system? You can reuse the wiring from the phone sets to the contoller as regular inside wire, and just plug in regular phones(and maybe put the Nortel phones and controller on EBay and make a few bucks off it!)

What module do I need to purchase to get called ID on my M7310

The Norstar 616 system was made before CLID was readily available. You could however, purchase a Nortel CICS system with CLID card(s). CI trunk cards handle up to 4 lines per card making the capacity of the system 8 lines by 16 stations. The CICS system will work with the existing m7310 sets you have so you wouldn't have to incur the cost of new telephones.

If none of your voicemail feature codes(f980-f989) are active, then that means that the system doesn't recognize any nortel voicemail on the system.Which means that a) your system has a non-nortel voicemail system attached to it, b) theres no voicemail attached to the system at all or c) the voicemail is no longer functioning.

Have Norstar M7310 5 line phone 2 lines say they

You need to unplug something, just not the phone.

The two lines are probably conferenced together. Go find the gray Nortel cabinet and pull the plug on it.

Cordless phone

Just about any one will do IF you get an Analog Terminal Adaptor made for your system. The ATA requires programming in your system, so it's probably best to call a Nortel service tech.

Before some smart sould points out that Nortel has a digital cordless, remember that the "T" phone doesn't work on a Compact 308 box. Besides, an ATA and a $50 cordless is WAY less expensive.
