Hi

If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you’ll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn’t work then you’ll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn’t work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Please revert for any further assistance.

Hi.

From description it looks like a drain problem. Check drain filter, drain hose and pressure switch.

Check motor, motor control unit, drain system and pressure switch. Start checking from drain system and pressure switch. The pressure switch determines water level. The timer checks the output from pressure switch to decide that drain is complete and advance cycle to spin.

Check also the position of the drain hose. Ensure that the height is as specified by the manual or you get siphoning and drain does not end.

Here a page about drain/spin problem.

Start checking drain and pressure switch, then test the other parts.

If you need parts see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?

Regards.

Will not drain. it does'nt look like its spinning very fast.

The washing machine not draining water. This problem is related to few possibilities. 1) The drain pump is got loose to the drain hose. check the connection from drain hose to drain pump. 2) The drain is blocked by any thing.Like cloth or any thing like metallic nails or coils etc etc. 3) The drain hose is got blocked./The drain hose is not letting the water to enter the drain pump. In most of the cases the drain pump has to be removed and checked for any kind of blockages. Also if the machine not draining can effect the spin cycle. But other possibilities for no spin or slow spin are faulty or broken motor coupler or weak spin motor. The motor coupler and motor both can be possible,if the drain pump and drain hose both checked ok.This will clear the fault. ----------- Keep updated with any more queries.Thanks,.

Water doesn't drain

you could have a bad drain pump.
have you checked the hoses that come from the bottom of the tub to the drain pump for anything that might be stuck in there, also check the hose that comes off the drain pump to the wall and look for an obstruction.

Makes buzzing noise and won't spin or drain

Sounds like something is stuck in the drain pump.  If nothing is stuck in the pump replace the pump.  It won't spin until it drains, so fixing the drain problem will fix the spin.  You can get at the drain pump by taking off the bottom panel.

Wont spin or drain it only only hums when turn on

Either your drain pump is bad or something is stuck in it.  It won't spin until it drains so fix the drain pump, and it will spin.  You should be able to get at the drain pump by taking off the bottom panel, or back panel.

GE WCXR1070T5WW washes OK but won't spin and drain

It depends on what type of pump it has.If its an electric pump it could drain without spinning, but if the pump runs off the same motor as the washer then the motor has to be running for it to drain, and it will probably spin. There is no guarantee, but the switch that closes when you shut your washers lid is probably bad.Try bypassing this switch, and see if it spins. Please if it spins replace this switch. It is a safety measure that you should really want to keep intact.
