Question about Cuisinart Grind & Brew DGB-500R, 12-Cup 12-Cup Coffee Maker

We have a Cuisinart DGB-900 BC Grind and Brew Thermal Coffeemaker. Our Problem is that the bean grinder has stopped working. We purchased the coffee maker on 2/25/10. Prior to this happening, we were very pleased with the coffee maker. Can this problem be fixed?

Try cleaning the grind chute again. if problem persists:
this is a cronic problem with the DGB900BC even after cleaning. the problem is the gate or trap to the grounds needs to open/remain open during grinding or all backs up and jams. my unit opens the door (correctly) during the rotation but closes just before grinding (over-rotation?). Cuisinart is not aware of this problem (800-726-0190). please call them; i just have.

This is a problem with your Cuisinart Grind & Brew Coffeemaker? This product uses roasted whole bean coffee. Why in the world would coffee beans have leaves attached? Makes no sense.

This coffee maker (10 c maker with grinder) beeps it's done every few minutes with water left. we have to brew about 5 times for a full pot, what gives?

Presume this is the Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Model # DGB-600BCC

Review the sections beginning on page 11 of the pdf on Turning Off the Grind Function (if not using the grind feature) and Making Coffee.

Make sure you are turning off the grind function if using preground coffee and that the reservoir lid is securely closed.

Check the Cups Setting button; is sounds like the 1-4 feature may be turned on.

Our DGB-700 has stopped grinding the beans. The motor sounds very weak. I have taken it apart and cleaned thoroughly with no good results. Can it be repaired or is it just time to "move on"...

I use Capresso CoffeeTeam model #454 10 cup 50 oz digital coffeemaker burr grinder combination with four grind settings. Now it is more than 5 years old, works every single day without any problem. Capresso has the great customer support. Its price for the refurbished item is compatible with the price of your Cuisinart. I am not sure it is the solution for you but I am very happy with my coffeemaker.

Our Cuisinart Grind and Brew is broken. grinder stopped working. Instead of grinding, the motor barely hums and does not spin blade at all. It will make coffee but only with grounds and not with whole...

No solution but I have the same problem.

I have a 12 cup cusinart grind & brew. The hopper is not working

You may have to clean the grinder....even more. That happened to me once. First I cleaned out the coffeemaker with the brush, and "dug" out more coffee, then I used this product which you can find on Amazon: "Urnex Grindz Coffee Grinder Cleaner - Urnex 17-GRINDZ12-40." It's expensive, but it really worked well.

Condensation- Cuisinart coffeemaker DGB-300

The condensation is normal, not just with this Cuisinart Grind n Brew, but with ALL Cuisinart Grind n Brews - because of this, you will really need to clean it after every use if you want the grinder portion to last long. As far as the bean amt - Cuisinart bases it's reccomendations on a smaller-than-normal coffee cup size of 5 ozs or so. Plus, the condensation, as you mentioned, will prevent a certain portion of the grinds from flowing to the brew/filter basket. Add more beans or less water to make a stronger cup.

Vinegar instead of WD40 - I am pretty sure a good portion of the DGB-600's have this problem, but that is hearsay.
