I have a Koss DVD player model KS3123-2 and I selected the PAL system and now I cannot switch it back. It clearly says in the manual, "Warning: You must have a PAL system TV if you choose to select PAL setting. If you have an NTSC North American TV set and you switch the setting to PAL, you will lose your ability to swich the DVD Player back to NTSC because the On screen menu will no longer be readable. Do you have a solution to my problem. I cannot believe there is no reset on this unit. Please help.

I have a Koss KS4190 DVD player with unreadable menu screen.

follow this steps and fix it. Merry Christmas.
Turn on your DVD player.
    • 2
Open the DVD player's main drive, also commonly called the DVD "tray." The region cannot be changed while a DVD is in the machine, so many DVD players require the tray to be open as an extra precaution.

    • 3
Push "Info" or "Setup" on your remote.
    • 4
Use the remote to select the "Region" option as indicated on your TV screen.
    • 5
Select "Region 9" to change the system to multiregion formatting. Regions 1 through 8 represent specific geographic locations and will not allow multiregion playback.

Koss dvd player kd 305

Make sure you dont have a disk in the tray. Hit the Pal.ntsv button 2-3 times. You will get the picture back. If not, then you also hit the p.scan button. Hit that button 2-3 times till you get the picture back.

Koss dvd kd305a. when i play a dvd i get sound but no video.

Hi, I'm not sure if this will fix your problem, but I had the same problem with a Koss KS3102 model. I had switched from NTSC to PAL from the menu screen by mistake and was no longer able to view the menu. I went to justanswer.com and the problem is now fixed. I had to pay, but it was well worth it, so if you can tell me more about your problem I will try to assist you if it is the same as mines. [email protected]

Oritron dvd 3119 player

You have to blindly instruct the NTSC/PAL menu item, which toggles between NTSC and PAL;
This is how it is done:

1) turn your dvd player off.
2) Turn it back on and make sure there is no DVD in the player tray.
This will ensure the menus are active
3) Using the remote, press the dowm menu selector key exactly three times
4) press the center menu select key once.
This will activate the display adjustement menu
5) press the down menu key exactly once.
This will activate the NTSC/PAL menu
6) press the center menu key
DONE.
The player should now have switched back to NTCS if it was in PAL.

IF it was in NTSC it should have switched back to PAL.

Note: If you still have the manual you can follow the menu tree blindly using the instructions in the manual. The above sequence is for activating the NTSC/PAL menu.
This player can also switch to progressive scan, which creates a similar problem. At least the progressive scan menu has enough warnings before it will actvate.

Lost video output

You might have changed you settings for video type, PAL or NTSC or the letter box or 4:3 or 16:9 etc..

any way if your player contains a battery to retain settings unplug your player and remove the battery

if it doesnt have a battery unplug for 24 hrs,

you shold look at your remote for a button labeled P/N or N/P or ntsc/pal or pal/ntsc, or something close to that,

just press the button
if that dont work you can remove the batter and unplug for 24 hrs or if it dont have a battery just unplug for 24 hrs

IF THOSE DONT WROK POST YOUR PLAYER BRAND and MODEL i can advise you further then

KS3102 Koss DVD player hookup to Toshiba how??

I have an owner's manual for that system and would be glad to copy the diagrams for you. Additionally, I think that you need red, blue and green wires from the back of the Koss to the inputs on the TV.
